Wilfreta Gourdine Baugh, MD Scholarship

In honor of Wilfreta’s decades of service to so many people in so many ways, an anonymous donor contributed $35,000 to Hampton University to establish the Wilfreta Gourdine Baugh Endowed Scholarship. Our goal is to raise a minimum of $100,000 to provide scholarship assistance to Hampton students with financial need.

This was a surprise that was announced at her 81st birthday in March 2021. We are 2/3 of the way there.

Help us reach our goal of $100,00 to create this legacy gift to honor Wilfreta by supporting the educational aspirations of of future Hampton students.

Legacy

Wilfreta was an academically gifted student with a history of high achievement throughout high school, college and medical school. Wilfreta knows well the value of a Hampton University education. Through her legacy scholarship we hope to make the same educational opportunity available to others.

Creativity

As a competitive floral arranger, Wilfreta is innovative and creates work with a cutting edge. She is known for her avant guard style. She is always pushing the envelope. She says that once you know the rules, you need to make arrangements that make you happy.
